When using the search feature you'll get much better results if you place quotes around your keywords. For example, if you're searching for Molly Quinn you would type "Molly Quinn" in the search box.

If any of your keywords are less than 4 characters you'll get an error message unless you use quotes around them. If you type Amy Adams in the search box without quotes you'll get an error message. If you type "Amy Adams" with the quotes, her thread will show up in the search results. One of the main reasons why double threads are posted even after members have searched is because they failed to put quotes around their keywords.

Smarter searching helps too. For example if you are looking for something on Amy Bruni from "Ghost Hunters" search for just the last name "Bruni"
