Introduction

This guide will help you automatically mass download pictures from threads & posts in celebrity forums to your computer without having to click on every single picture.

The guide itself is quite simple and I will be happy to answer any questions if anybody has any problems.

Part 1: Downloading

1: The first thing you need to do is download and install a web browser called mozilla firefox. It is a very popular browser and widely used and in my personal opinion one of the best.

http://www.getfirefox.net/

Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the browser onto your system.

2: Firefox has the abilty to use "extensions" these are official or user addons that extend the functionality of the web browser with various different tools.

3: The addon that we will be using is called "Imagehost Grabber" This will enable firefox to download pictures hosted on image hosts such as "imageshack, imagebam etc" that are used in posts to display High quality pictures that are normally shown in thumbnails.

4: Normally you would have to click on these thumbnails and right-click and save every one individually. This addon will do this for you automatically saving you a lot of time.

5: The Next step is to download and install "Imagehost Grabber" with firefox. When you click on the link below choose the option
open with firefox.

Click on the install now button to procede. The software is safe you dont have to worry about spam or viruses.

Part 2: Configuring Imagegrabber

The first step is to configure imagegrabber for use. Go to the tools section of your firefox browser(Its right above the address bar).
Click on it and at the very bottom you should see the imagegrabber options as seen below. Click on options

Here is the options screen:

The only thing you have to change at the moment is the "Create a sub-directory with document title inside the target directory" just click on the box to check it. This enables imagegrabber to create a seperate directory for every post/thread you download.

Optional

The "Max simutaneous http requests section" Is how many pictures imagegrabber downloads at one time. The default is "5" you may want to change this based on how fast you connection is.

Thats all you need to configure the next step is downloading those pics.

Part 3 Getting Pictures

The next step is to find a celebrity forum, Chazz has compiled a small list of websites/forums in this post.

http://redheadedgoddessforums.com/index.ph...t=0entry5101

For this guide though we will be using the "superiorpics celeb forum" as its a free forum with no membership required.

http://forums.superiorpics.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php

The main forums should look like this:

Browse the different forums until you find the thread/post that you are looking for. Here is one example

The next step is to go back to the "tools" section of you title bar and click on the imagegrabber section. This time we will select "get all pics on page".

The next step is to save the pics onto your hard drive you can save anywhere you want to. For this guide I am going to save to "Desktop"

This is the imagegrabber download process this window will pop when saving your pictures to your computer. This process is completely automated and requires no intervention. On the left hand side you see the number of images of total in the post, then the filenames and imagehost and finally the progress bar which show you the current images downloading.

It is very important during this stage that you do not close firefox, you can navigate to a different page or site but do not close firefox altogether as this will cut off your downloading.

These images should now be saved onto your computer ready for you to view.

This concludes this guide if anybody has any problems or difficulties please let me know and i'll try to help out.

Ellisdee Apparently imagehost grabber doesn't work with imgbox which more and more celeb forums are using. Any alternatives or workarounds aside from downloading each pic inidividually?

Just an update. I fixed the problem. I needed to download the latest version which is unverified.

http://imagehost-grabber.org/index.php?topic=3457.0

I then had to Override add-on signing to allow it to be insalled:

QUOTE
Override add-on signing (advanced users): You can override this setting by changing the xpinstall.signatures.required preference to false in the Firefox Configuration Editor (about:config page). Support is not available for any changes made with the Configuration Editor so please do this at your own risk.

The xpinstall.signatures.required preference can be changed to false by double clicking each instance of it. Sort of a pain but imagegrabber now downloads imgbox and most other hosts just fine.
