Introduction

This guide will help you use a piece of software used to automatically mass upload pictures you have stored on your computer for posting on celebrity forums using forum code.

The guide itself is quite simple and I will be happy to answer any questions if anybody has any problems.

Part 1: Getting The Software

The software we will be using is called "IIIUploader" I have used this software for many years and is generally regarded as one of the best of the uploading software. IIIUploader can be downloaded from the link below. You will need to install a program called "winrar" as well. Winrar is file compresser used to archive files, It is needed to extract it to your hardrive.

Winrar - http://www.rarlab.com

IIIU Link - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BH4YN1XM

Part 2 - Using Winrar to extract IIIUploader

After you have installed winrar download the IIIUploader software to your computer. In this case I have downloaded it to my desktop as show below.

Right-click on the icon and choose the option of "EXTRACT TO IIIUPLOADER \" this will extract the software files to a folder onto your desktop (Or wherever you have downloaded it to) a folder called IIIUploader will now be shown as seen below.

Open the folder and look for an icon called "IIIU" This is the application that we will be using, double-left click to open the program you should see the following.

Now the software is installed its to time configure it.

PART 2 - CONFIGURATING IIIU

There's not many settings you need to change for this to work apart from a couple of minor changes. Most of the other settings on the program are extra features and not needed.

The two main settings are:

Part 2a. - Selecting a image host

If you click on the imagehosting section on the program(as seen on the screenshot below)

user posted image

You will now see a drop down box of various image hosts. Your choice will depend on the "forum's rules" and how big your pictures are. Please have a look at the link below for any queries.

http://redheadedgoddessforums.com/index.php?showtopic=15

The most common imagehosts are:

imagebam.com - Able to handle pictures upto 3MB
imagehaven.net - Able to handle pictures upto 3MB
imageshack.us - Able to handle pictures upto 1.5MB
imagevenue.com - Able to handle images upto 1.5MB
radikal.ru - Able to handle images upto 10MB

Part 2b - How Many Images To Upload at Once?

This next setting will change how many images the program will upload at any one time (This amount will be based on your internet connection speed) Look for the setting which says "Concurrent downloads" as shown below.

user posted image

The default number of images uploading is "5". I usually change this to one or three, but use whatever number you feel comfortable with.

That's it all the relevant settings are now done it's now time to add some pictures.

PART 3 - ADDING PICTURES

This next part we will need to select some pictures from your hard drive to upload. Select the option with IIIUploader to "add folder"

user posted image

For the purpose of this guide I have placed the images I want to upload in the following folders set on my hard drive(as seen below)(you can uploaded the images from anywhere from your hard-drive it doesnt have to be in a set folder).

Select the folders as follows:

user posted image

After you have selected your folder press enter/click on ok. You will now have a pop-up box will the following options presented to you as seen below.

user posted image

1: "Specify set name" is the first option that will be displayed. This takes the name of the folder that is being uploaded "for example" your folder could be called "Christina Hendricks In Mad men Poster", "Molly Quinn on the set of" etc. The point is that you can change the set name if need be.

2: The next option is to tick "THIS SET IS SAFE FOR WORK(HAS NO MATURE CONTENT)" This option MUST be enabled or it will display adult-orientated advertisments when people click on the thumbnails. Most forums have a non-nude policy and not having this option enabled could result in a warning or a ban.

3: The next selection is the imagehost you will be using the upload your images. As shown in part 2a that choice will be your selected imagehost unless you need to change it here/

4: "Put This Text under each thumbnail" Is the last option it's not really used unless you want to advertise or state something.

Finally select the "ok" button.

Repeat steps until you have all your folders selected and inputed.

Part 4 - Adding Pictures Part 2

The next screen you will see is that the images have selected are now ready for upload.

user posted image

1: It now shows you the file path where the files are being uploaded from on your hard-drive
2: The set name
3: Size if images (please check that he size does not exceed your imagehost capicity or it will not upload)
4: Status, Content & the imagehost being uploaded to are the last fields to be shown.

If you click on the calculate total file size option it will show you how many Megabytes are going to be uploaded. Generally the bigger the size the longer the upload time.

user posted image

Part 5 - Lets Get Uploading

When you are ready select the "upload files box" in the bottom left hand corner to begin uploading.

user posted image

Now the files are being uploaded there's nothing to do but sit back and relax. If you look at the top you will see a timer given you a rough indication of when the files will be completed uploading it will be high at first but will decrease (again total time is dependant on size/amount of files uploading and your internet connection).

user posted image

You don't have to do anything now while the uploading its completely automatic. You can minimze the software and play a game or go on facebook etc until the uploading has finished.

Set 3

From now on it should be a simple matter of uploading files you have and just copying and pasting them over. That concludes my uploading guide if you have any questions feel free to ask, I know it seems a bit daunting at first but once you get into the swing of it it's quite easy.

Thank you for your patience, Ellisdee.
