So many I can think of, but most of them are British, so I'm not sure if you chaps outside the UK will even have heard of most of them.

Chris Rock, Rich Hall and Ryan Stiles have always been US faves of mine, UK wise probably Peter Kay or more recently John Bishop, Jo Brand, Sean Lock, Alan Davies, (basically a lot of the comedians who have appeared on QI)

*just spotted the word LIVING in the title, removed my vote for Bill Hicks*

That's the first tournament where I can barely contribute. I am barely familiar with any names on that list and their work. We got so many comedians of our own in my country that are unknown in the rest of the world. When it comes to comedy in English my favorites will always be Monty Python.

Would you class Rik Mayall as a standup? I know he's done in-character standup routines before but not sure.

Also David Mitchell and from Red Dwarf (but also standup) Craig Charles, Norman Lovett and Hattie Hayridge.

Im going to stick with 32. I'll keep Regan on backup in case anyone on the list is dead.

I'll get this up and going sometime soon.
