This is off topic but I  vaguely recall you used to be sort of an artist as well?  Paintings and such?

Anyway, thanks for making this thread Amanda.  Every once in awhile we'll get some women posting for advice and I don't think they're looking for makeup and hairstyle tips from us guys.  biggrin.gif

Chazz, I was a professional artist for a long time. My, what a memory you have in that big brain of yours. That's incredibly sexy! wub.gif

For you, Chazz... a link directly to my art.

Holy shit. You've got some real talent there. Love the Marilyn Monroe drawing. Actually, all your work is pretty amazing.

My memory is only that good when it comes to pretty redheads. http://redheads.b1.jcink.com/uploads/redheads//post-22-1274316868.gif Anything else is forgotten after a few seconds.

You should do some "Walking Dead" stuff. I love that show.

You know, I've been out of the game for a while now. I haven't picked up a colored pencil for anything serious in many years. All of that work, including the Monroe, was stolen with the uHaul in 2009 and I stopped then. I was heartbroken.

But I've decided I'm going to come out of retirement to do (at least) one epic drawing of the infamous Norman Reedus with his crossbow.

You know, it's funny - I don't think our society loves him because he's handsome. Truth be told, I don't think he is. I think our society loves him because we can all identify with him. He's the trash taker with stone walls around his heart a mile high. He's damaged and he's been hurt. But he still has a heart of gold and truly loves within the very depths of his soul. He's the best (and worst) of everything we see within ourselves. And I really, truly hope I'm able to convey that in my piece - when I do it.

What about his brother Merle? lol It was nice to see him redeem himself. Believe it or not he was a pretty popular character but Daryl is the most popular by far which is why they won't kill him off. It's cool you're going to start up again. With a talent like you have you shouldn't let it go to waste even if you just draw as a hobby.

If you decide to do another drawing after norman reedus, you should start a request thread where members throw out ideas for your next drawing. Of course I realize you're very limited on time.

Amanda, you should do something Trek related. Maybe something based on one of the most popular Star Trek episodes, City on the edge of forever.
